The Frick Collection is a museum on Manhattan's Upper East Side, housed in the former residence of industrialist Henry Clay Frick, one of the city's last remaining Gilded Age mansions. Its holdings focus on Western art from the Renaissance through the late nineteenth century, displayed within the mansion's intimate, historic gallery rooms. The museum operates the affiliated Frick Art Research Library, established by Henry Clay Frick's daughter Helen Clay Frick, and offers exhibitions, concerts, and educational programming alongside its permanent collection. The Frick recently completed a multi-year renovation and expansion, finished in 2025, and describes its mission as serving the public "for the use and benefit of all persons whomsoever."
