Instituto de Vision is a contemporary art gallery founded in Bogota in 2014 that opened a New York space on Manhattan's Lower East Side in 2022. It is led by three Colombian directors, Omayra Alvarado, Beatriz Lopez, and Karen Abreu, and its program focuses on artistic discourses left out of the official history of art, with particular attention to female voices, queer theory, environmental activism, and displacement. Through its visionarios program, the gallery also works to recover overlooked mid-twentieth-century Latin American art alongside its roster of contemporary artists from across Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, and North America, presenting exhibitions in both its Bogota and New York locations.
