Magenta Plains is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2016 on Manhattan's Lower East Side by David Deutsch, Chris Dorland, and Olivia Smith, later relocating within Manhattan to a larger multi-floor space. A member of the Art Dealers Association of America, the gallery takes an intergenerational approach, developing emerging artists while preserving and re-presenting the work of established generations; it has organized dozens of curated group shows and monographic exhibitions. Its roster includes artists such as Jennifer Bolande, Rachel Rossin, and Ken Lum, alongside the Stan VanDerBeek Archive, with project-based presentations of artists including Alexis Rockman and Jon Kessler. The program spans painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, and film.
