Mendes Wood DM is a contemporary art gallery founded in Sao Paulo in 2010 by Pedro Mendes, Matthew Wood, and Felipe Dmab, who had previously represented sculptor Sonia Gomes in Paris. The gallery has since expanded internationally, opening a Brussels space in 2017 with partner Carolyn Drake Kandiyoti, a permanent Tribeca, New York location on Walker Street in 2022 that debuted with a Paulo Nazareth solo show, a rural exhibition space in Germantown, New York the same year, and a Paris gallery in 2023. Its program spans roughly forty-five artists, including Lucas Arruda, Sonia Gomes, Lynda Benglis, Nina Canell, and Rosana Paulino, emphasizing Brazilian and international contemporary practice.
