Microscope Gallery
Art galleryMicroscope Gallery is a Manhattan gallery founded in 2010 by artists and curators Elle Burchill and Andrea Monti, originally opening in Bushwick, Brooklyn before relocating in 2021 to Chelsea. The gallery specializes in risk-taking artists, from emerging to established, whose practices span moving image, sound, performance, photography, and digital and time-based media, deliberately blurring the line between white-box gallery presentation and black-box screening space. Beyond its exhibitions, Microscope runs a weekly program of screenings, sound works, performances, readings, and lectures, and has collaborated with institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art on its 'Dreamlands: Expanded' series and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. It is a member of the New Art Dealers Alliance.
