Established in 2010, it maintains a collection of navigational and communication equipment used aboard ships, including radar systems, lifeboat radiotelegraph devices, satellite navigators, depth sounders, gyrocompasses, and marine radio receivers, alongside non-electronic navigation tools. The museum offers free educational programming for children, teens, adults, and seniors, along with video resources and interactive activities, and is listed in the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs directory of cultural organizations.
