Nara Roesler is a contemporary art gallery founded by gallerist Nara Roesler, who staged her first exhibition in Recife in 1976, relocated to São Paulo in 1986, and established the gallery under her own name there in 1989. The gallery later expanded to Rio de Janeiro and, since 2015, has operated a New York location in Chelsea, Manhattan, becoming the first Brazilian gallery with an international outpost. Its roster of more than fifty artists spans generations, including Abraham Palatnik, Tomie Ohtake, and Vik Muniz alongside younger artists like Jaime Lauriano. The gallery also runs Nara Roesler Books, Brazil's first contemporary-art publishing house, founded in 2011, and in 2026 is marking fifty years of activity with anniversary programming across its three locations.
