Pellettieri Stone Carvers' Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2015 by stone carver Chris Pellettieri to preserve traditional stone-carving techniques and introduce them to a broad public. The Academy has taught hundreds of students through partnerships with organizations including the NYC Department of Education, Mather High School, and The Met Cloisters, where it holds public demonstrations and hands-on programs, as well as at sites on Governors Island. Programming includes stone-carving camps for youth and adults and volunteer opportunities, with a stated priority of serving populations historically underrepresented in arts education. The organization is funded through donor contributions, participant fees, and institutional partnerships.
