The Elkon Gallery is an Upper East Side, Manhattan gallery founded in 1961 by Belgian-born dealer Robert Elkon, who became a founding member of the Art Dealers Association of America in 1962 and represented artists including Agnes Martin, Sam Francis, John McCracken, John Wesley, and William Tucker, alongside modern masters such as Matisse, Dubuffet, and Giacometti. After Elkon's death in 1983, his widow, Dorothea McKenna Elkon, continued the gallery under its current name, pairing historical exhibitions of its founding artists with contemporary artists such as Vicky Colombet, Lluis Lleo, Matteo Montani, and Francoise Gilot; it remains an ADAA member gallery.
