The Hole

The Hole is a contemporary art gallery founded and run by Kathy Grayson, who opened the space on the Bowery in July 2010. The gallery presents monthly solo and group exhibitions with a focus on emerging art and thematic group shows, and represents roughly twenty-five artists from the United States and abroad, having exhibited hundreds more over its history. Between exhibitions it hosts performances, events, and collaborative projects connected to the downtown New York art community. The gallery later expanded beyond its original Bowery location, adding a second Manhattan space in Tribeca in 2021 and a Los Angeles location in 2022.
