Art galleryCecilia de Torres, Ltd. is a gallery in SoHo, Manhattan, established in 1993 to promote the artists of the Taller Torres-Garcia, the workshop school founded by Uruguayan modernist Joaquin Torres-Garcia in Montevideo in 1943. Specializing in South American Constructivism and geometric abstraction, the gallery has organized more than fifty exhibitions of modern and contemporary art and presented first New York solo shows for artists including Leon Ferrari, Sarah Grilo, Gerd Leufert, and Elias Crespin. Founder Cecilia de Torres is a leading authority on Torres-Garcia and the artists associated with his workshop; her four decades of research culminated in an online catalogue raisonne of the artist's work, published in 2015.
