Art galleryDavid Kordansky Gallery was founded in 2003 by David Kordansky, a former conceptual and performance artist, opening initially in Los Angeles's Chinatown before moving to a larger Culver City space in 2008 and later expanding into a Mid-City location designed by the architecture firm WHY. The gallery opened a New York space in Chelsea in 2022. Its program represents contemporary artists including Jonas Wood, Huma Bhabha, Lauren Halsey, Rashid Johnson, Tala Madani, John Armleder, and Mary Weatherford, and manages the estates of Tom of Finland, Betty Woodman, and Sam Gilliam. The gallery maintains an active exhibition schedule across its Los Angeles and New York locations and participates in major international art fairs.
