Eyebeam is a nonprofit art and technology center in New York City, founded in 1998 by John Seward Johnson III, David S. Johnson, and Roderic R. Richardson. Originally conceived as a digital-media and coding studio with a youth-education focus, it evolved into a platform supporting artists whose work engages technology and society, offering residencies, fellowships, and public programming. Notable early projects supported by the organization include Alexander Galloway's Carnivore, winner of the Prix Ars Electronica. Eyebeam relocated to Brooklyn in 2017 and continues to host resident artists and fellows, with recent participants including Aurora Mititelu, Chloe Alexandra Thompson, and Umber Majeed, exploring questions about technology, complexity, and the future.
