Fredericks & Freiser is a contemporary art gallery in Chelsea, Manhattan, founded in 1996 by Jessica Fredericks and Andrew Freiser as one of the original galleries in the neighborhood, showcasing work described as edgy and boundary-pushing without being alienating. The gallery represents artists across generations chosen for originality and an independent artistic language, operating from a ground-floor space designed by architect Andrew Ong. Its roster has included Pop-art pioneer John Wesley alongside artists such as Zak Smith, Max Toth, and Natalie Frank, with many championed early in their careers while the gallery maintains long relationships with more established figures whose work now appears in major international institutions and biennials.
