ae stoneware

ae stoneware is sturdy and whimsical, stylistically nodding to the earthy yet refined aesthetics of 1970s pottery. I work with red clay, glaze in aquatic cool tones, and feature un-glazed rims to celebrate the raw claybody. I make functional tableware (cups, bowls, plates, platebowls, etc), “now playing” stands (for displaying LP jackets while an album spins on the turntable), and small stylized mushroom clusters (endearing, subtle trinkets for anyone craving more nature amidst the hubbub of NYC).
